LIFE LESSONS

There are moments in life when you look back and realize that you didn’t truly value someone when you had them. Maybe it was their presence, their support, their care, or just the way they made you feel safe. I have been through that. I have made those mistakes. And with time, I’ve come to understand one powerful truth. Whatever you give to the world, it always finds a way to return to you.
It’s not just a belief. It is a law. The law of karma. The energy you give out, the way you treat others, the intentions behind your actions, all of it moves like a circle. Sometimes it takes days. Sometimes it takes years. But it comes back. If you have given love, honesty, and care, that is what the universe sends your way. If you’ve given ignorance, ego, or pain, the same lessons will arrive in your life, just in a different form.
The Bhagavad Gita speaks about the power of action and intention. It reminds us that nothing goes unnoticed. Even when no one is watching, the universe is listening. Life doesn’t punish, but it balances. If we hurt someone knowingly or fail to value their presence, we often find ourselves in situations that mirror that same feeling. It is not to break us, but to make us more aware, more humble, and more grounded.
Modern thinkers and writers have echoed this too. Eckhart Tolle, in The Power of Now, shares the importance of being fully present. Because when you are truly present, you stop taking people and time for granted. You see the value in a conversation, in silence, in someone simply being there. That presence builds a deeper connection with life itself.
In The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success, Deepak Chopra describes karma as a conscious choice. Every time we act, we are creating our future. So if you want peace, give peace. If you want loyalty, offer loyalty. If you want to be understood, start by understanding others. Life will echo what you send out, sometimes softly, sometimes loudly.
So today, if you’re blessed with someone who supports you, stands by you, or just listens to you without judgment, pause and appreciate them. Not out of fear of loss, but from a place of awareness. You don’t get the same people twice. You don’t get the same moment again.
What you give will return. What you ignore may one day teach you its value in ways you never imagined. Choose your actions with care, your words with empathy, and your presence with honesty. Because the world is listening. And it always remembers.
Sometimes life does teach you, but whether you realise it or not depends entirely on you. Growth only begins when understanding begins. If you miss the meaning behind your experiences, the same lessons will keep repeating themselves in different forms. Behind my ethics, behind the way I choose to live today, there are these very experiences that shaped me.
So the question is not whether life will teach you. It always does.
The real question is, will you listen or will you ignore it once again
Will you obey the quiet sound of the universe, or turn your back on it and stay the same
Because in the end, the choice to evolve has always been yours
